Polynucleotides

Polynucleotides

A new and exciting concept within regenerative medicine, polynucleotides work to repair and restore cellular function. Used in general medicine since the 1980’s, Polynucleotides are growing hugely in popularity within the regenerative aesthetics field and for good reason!

Polynucleotides are made up of chains of nucleotides, which are the building blocks of DNA and RNA, when injected into the skin they provide instant hydration, cellular regeneration and long term bio-remodelling.

Polynucleotides have several skin-boosting benefits for the skin, including improving texture and elasticity, reducing fine lines and wrinkles and creating a dewy hydrated effect to the skin, they do this by providing instant hydration whilst also promoting fibroblast proliferation and collagen synthesis.

In addition to this, polynucleotides work to induce tissue repair and wound healing processes, reducing inflammatory processes and redness, regulating melanogenesis and promoting hydration in the skin. Polynucleotides stimulate regeneration of the skin at the cellular level so it takes time to be seen visually in terms of improved texture, minimised pores and pigmentation. An initial course of 3 over 3 months is recommended.
