Non-Surgical Skin Tightening: Achieve A Rejuvenated Complexion

Skin laxity is a problem that affects everyone; as we age, our skin loses collagen and elastin, proteins that help keep it firm and plump, which causes a loose or sagging look. The good news is that there are some brilliant non-surgical treatment options to combat this without the downtime associated…

HIFU

Ultrasound treatment (High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound) can be used to target stubborn fat & control this laxity by delivering precisely targeted controlled pulses of ultrasound to areas of concern, which starts a process called thermal coagulation. This causes existing collagen fibres to denature, which stimulates new collagen synthesis and regeneration.

This is a non-invasive procedure that does not negatively affect the outer layer of skin, bypassing the surface to deliver energy to the deeper layers to promote collagen production. The focused ultrasonic waves will destroy and subcutaneous fat tissues safely.

Results are noticeable almost immediately in some cases, and continue to improve for up to 6 months after treatment, with no downtime.

Radiofrequency

The term "radio frequency" refers to the thermal energy that's delivered to the skin by a device with the intention of causing micro-injuries, which trigger the creation of new collagen. Radio-frequency treatments can be performed on the face and all over the body, and it's known to tighten, firm, and lift the skin with little to no downtime.

When radiofrequency is conducted through the skin, it penetrates down to the subcutaneous layers, producing an exothermic reaction – meaning it is a catalyst for heat production within the body. In fact, the skin can heat up to 38–40 degrees during radiofrequency treatments.

This has many physiological effects on the dermis, the primary being tightening, firming and brightening, and this is because the thermal reaction causes the contraction of collagen in the short term and collagen synthesis in the long term, tightening the underlying skin structures without damaging the top layer.

Liquid Laser

Unlike the above device-based treatments, Liquid Laser is an injectable treatment but it also works to tighten and brighten the skin.

Liquid Laser is a light, non-invasive treatment that focuses on strengthening, firming and rebuilding the skin, through a large number of tiny punctures are made on the upper layers of the epidermis using fine needles. The injections promote deeper penetration of the liquid laser, thereby enhancing the effects of biorevitalisation.

It can be used on the face, neck, décolleté, forearms, or back of the hands. The treatment is designed to strengthen and rebuild the skin, with dead skin lifting away over 14 days to reveal healthier skin.

This treatment is also ideal for targeting fine lines, superficial wrinkles, fragile, weak or dehydrated skin.
